Join our dynamic team as a Clinical Research Technician!
You must be available to rotate across all three shifts, with a weekend shift every other week.This role will be a rotating among 3 shifts, with a weekend shift every other weekStart times can vary: 1st shift 5 AM to 7 AM start times; 2nd shift 2 PM to 4 PM start times; and 3rd on 10 PM to 12 Midnight start timesSchedules are typically set 2-3 weeks in advance.
$23/hr
Will work with Clinical Research Nurses and Clinical Research Coordinators to manage Phase I Clinical Trials
Training will be provided on the first shift for 4-6 weeks to ensure you are well-prepared for the role. You will work with a schedule set 2-3 weeks in advance, ensuring flexibility and planning. Your primary role will be collaborating with Clinical Research Nurses and Coordinators to manage Phase I Clinical Trials.
ResponsibilitiesAccurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings.Prepare and accurately record ECGs/Holters.Collect and process biological samples as specified in the protocol, ensuring proper distribution.Monitor meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants.Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment.Assist with screening procedures as needed.Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working and study environment.Build respectful relationships with study participants.Accurately record all research data obtained or observed.Assist with quality control of source documents and case report forms.Maintain a basic understanding of current regulatory requirements.Attend all required meetings, as appropriate.Assist as necessary with study procedures.Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken.Maintain skills to perform all study tasks, as required.Maintain constant awareness of participant safety and dignity at all times.Handle participant complaints efficiently and effectively to maintain satisfaction.Ensure client and participant confidentiality is maintained.Respond to client and team queries in a timely manner.Take ownership for the quality and standard of your work.Essential SkillsPatient CareLaboratory skillsClinical ResearchEKG proficiencyClinical Trial experienceSample preparationPhlebotomyChart reviewKnowledge of BiologyHealthcare proficiencyUnderstanding of FDA, ICH, and GCP guidelinesAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma, CNA, Medical Assistant, EMT, or a Bachelor's Degree in Science/Healthcare0-2 years of experience in science, healthcare, or research backgroundPhlebotomy skills are nice to haveWork Environment
You will be working in a Phase I Clinical Research Unit in Madison, WI. The environment is professional and focused on clinical research, providing an excellent opportunity for science or healthcare professionals to gain hands-on experience and extensive training. The shifts rotate, with start times varying between first shift at 5 AM to 7 AM, second shift at 2 PM to 4 PM, and third shift at 10 PM to 12 Midnight. Expect to work a weekend shift every other week, with schedules set in advance to allow for planning and flexibility
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
