**Description:**
Reporting to the Director, the Coordinator of Clinical Research Operations provides an oversight of the initiation and management of clinical research projects conducted at LUMC or using LUMC resources. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all required LUMC approvals have been granted prior to initiating the study and serves as liaison with the clinical and ancillary departments involved in clinical research. The Coordinator is responsible for helping to enforce the various clinical research operations policies and procedures.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Initiate and coordinate the study feasibility process for all clinical research conducted at LUMC or using LUMC resources.
+ Determine appropriate LUMC personnel and resource allocation for the clinical trial based on the study protocol. Identify supplies, drugs, devices, equipment and space required to conduct the study. Act as liaison between the clinical and research staff, departments, ancillary services and the industry sponsor. Coordinate clinical services to meet the needs of the research participant as determined by the study protocol to ensure a positive experience.
+ Inform and educate the ancillary staff regarding the clinical trial requirements. Coordinate pre-study site visits with the ancillary and clinical departments as necessary.
+ In collaboration with the Business Operations Manager, coordinate CA operational reviews and distribute final CA to all relevant parties.
+ Coordinate, document and communicate all LUMC operational approvals consistent with the study protocol needs.
+ Work with the Business Operations Manager to facilitate effective work-flow by accurately reporting the status of CAs, budgets, and bill reviews that are in progress, communicating issues causing delays incompletion of these items, and encouraging open communication with other LUMC departments involved in the clinical research enterprise.
+ Collaborates with the Business Operations Manager, Patient Financial Services (PFS), Patient Access and the research teams to ensure accurate pre-authorization, registration, charge segregation, invoicing to the study account, cost recovery tracking, study account management and reconciliation.

What's required:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in science or health related field; Master's degree preferred.
+ 5 years of clinical research experience.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of good clinical practices (GCP) required.
+ Some supervisory or management experience is highly desired.
+ CCRA (Certified Clinical Research Associate) or equivalent (SoCRA or ACRP) preferred.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $58,614- $90,833
_Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
