The research division within the OHSU Department of Occupational Health specializes in clinical research on issues relevant to the health of healthcare workers. The Division is led by Dr. Curlin who is a specialist in infectious diseases with expertise in virology, immunology and vaccine science. This clinical research assistant I position will support study coordination for clinical research, with responsibilities including: Review potential participants through chart review & discuss eligibility with research team.Schedule and perform all participant visits, including informed consent, blood draws, and other study-related tasks as needed. Schedule and communicate assessments and appointments with participants. Maintain study data and address queries in a timely manner. Place orders in Epic and track billable procedures. Support data abstraction and entry Support regulatory document development, including editing Sponsor documents to match OHSU requirements, as part of study start-up. Additional duties as required. The individual in this role will have excellent person-skills, be detail-oriented, be able to work on multiple projects, and be comfortable taking direction and reaching out for additional information and assistance when needed.

Function/Duties of Position Key Responsibilities & Performance StandardsPerform all steps involved in advertising, subject recruitment, informed consent, subject enrollment, scheduling and coordination of participant visits, study visit procedures including administration of questionnaires and other information intake, checking vital signs, specimen collection, Epic order entry, visit documentation, data entry, participant reimbursement and visit documentation. Record and report adverse events and manage other communication with study participantsSupport clinical data abstraction and entry via the EMR and/or any specific research databases.Support regulatory document management and submissionAdditional duties as required Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, ORAssociate's AND 2 years of relevant experience, OR3 years of relevant experience, OR Equivalent training and experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Health OR currently working toward Master’s Degree in Public Health.Strong written, verbal communication and proficiency in MS Office Suite; meticulous record keeping and organization skills.IRB training1 years of experience in clinical researchA working knowledge of FDA, DHHS, IRB and other agency guidelines that govern clinical research.Experience working with Epic, or other EMR systems. Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificationPhlebotomy training Additional Details

Monday-Friday; between 8:00 AM - 4:30PM  (flexible and will vary depending on study needs)
