The CUNY School of Professional Studies currently seeks highly-experienced practitioners as candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track position as Clinical Professor for its online Health Information Management (HIM) department. The Health Information Management (HIM) department is a growing and student-centered unit offering both undergraduate and graduate degree programs that lead to high-demand roles in healthcare leadership, health informatics, and project management. Our curriculum blends technical training with professional skill development to prepare students for RHIA certification and career advancement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Teaching asynchronous courses • Student advisement • Participating in curriculum oversight such as evaluating courses and serving as a subject matter expert in course development process. • Participating in committees and other governance bodies and serving in varied academic administrative capacities with the aim of ensuring that HIM programs, courses, and instruction are high quality and meet all institutional and accreditation competencies. • Participating in program specific events and other functions such as RHIA review seminar participation or guest speaking, orientation(s), program and department faculty meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other programmatic activities as assigned by the Academic Director. NOTE: + Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work in the office. + Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's degree and a record of achievement in a profession or field of expertise related to teaching assignments. Also required is the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s degree in related health field and a record of achievement in a profession or field of expertise related to the HIM discipline. • Hold an active RHIA credential. • Active member of both AHIMA and State CSA. • A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in the field of Health Information Management. • Experience with online learning in higher education. • Teaching, advising and mentoring experience. • Experience in developing academic curriculum. • Superior written and oral communication skills. • Commitment to campus values of equity, diversity and inclusion. **COMPENSATION** Salary commensurate with education and experience between $94,909 - $102,017.
