Clinical Pharmacists play a critical role in the comprehensive treatment of patients at Cleveland Clinic. In this role, you will utilize your education and experience to ensure access to accurate and appropriate pharmaceutical services. As you make a difference in the lives of patients, you will also have opportunities to enhance your skills, knowledge base and hands-on experience in an encouraging healthcare environment. 

 

A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 6:30AM – 9:30PM. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered and evidence-based medication services. 

Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations. 

Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner. 

Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards. 

Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences. 

Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers and/or patients.  

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy 

Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within 90 days of hire 

Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or 2 years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience

Physical Requirements:

Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time. 

Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting.

Must have normal or corrected vision.

Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
