The Clinical Nurse Specialist demonstrates advanced and specialized clinical knowledge and skills to facilitate the provision of patient/family-focused care to promote health and/or well-being improve quality of life; drive practice changes throughout the organization and ensure use of evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes. This individual provides expertise and support either directly or indirectly by influencing patients/families, nurses/nursing practice, and organization/systems through direct care, leadership, coaching, research, ethical decision making, collaboration, and consultation.
Education:
Master’s degree required. Doctorate preferred.Certification:
RN license VA or compact/multi state eligible.Must be certified in specialty area deemed eligible for CNS as recognized by State Boards of Nursing.CNS registration with Virginia or North Carolina Board of Nursing required.BLS Required.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for Intermediate Care and Critical Care.Experience:

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$38,365.60-$63,939.20. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
