Job Title: REMS Clinical Nurse Educator
Job Description

The REMS Clinical Nurse Educator plays a crucial role in our team, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and counseling for individuals enrolled in the Medication Therapy Program. This position requires a passionate and committed nurse who excels in communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, and is self-motivated. The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of delivering high-quality care to patients.

ResponsibilitiesCounsel and educate existing patients on REMS FDA-mandated medications, including reading a list of statements to patients verbatim as part of the REMS program.Ensure patients and caregivers are informed about their current therapy to promote medication adherence.Schedule medication refill deliveries and collect copays, if applicable.Adhere to contracted and accrediting regulations as indicated by drug specifications.Complete thorough and accurate documentation following good documentation practices and industry standards.Discuss potential/current side effects with patients and educate them about treatment alternatives to facilitate ongoing therapy adherence.Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to the manufacturer, FDA, and/or other governing authorities.Provide specialty drug verification and education, serving as a provider/patient conduit to support therapeutic longevity.Maintain patient demographic records, medical history, and records in compliance with federal HIPAA standards.Collaborate with Pharmacy Support teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of specialty drugs.Essential SkillsRegistered Nurse with a current unrestricted compact state license or primary NC licensure.Associates, Bachelor, or higher degree in Nursing or accredited nursing diploma.Ability to obtain licensing in all states and United States territories serviced within 3 months of employment through Biologics supported programming.5 or more years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in inpatient or outpatient care preferred.Proficiency in computer skills, including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, and web-based programs.Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with experience in motivational interviewing preferred.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret practice standards, professional journals, and technical procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in risk evaluation and mitigation strategies.Oncology nursing experience.Strong attention to detail and phone etiquette.Experience in computer data entry.Work Environment

The REMS Clinical Nurse Educator will work in the office for the first 3 months, after which the team works from home. The position requires working hours from Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
