Clinical Manager of Nursing Resources and Patient Flow

If you are interested in providing care in your local community, come join our team! **Job Overview** The position is responsible for the coordination, allocation and optimization of nursing resources to support the safe and efficient patient care. This role oversees patient throughput, staffing strategies, and capacity management to enhance patient flow, reduce wait times and improve patient experience. **Job Description** **Minimum Qualifications:** 1. Massachusetts RN Licensure. 2. 5 Years of RN Experience with at least 1 year as a charge/lead RN. 3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. 4. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). **Duties and Responsibilities:** 1. Develops, implements and maintains effective staffing models to ensure nursing coverage 2. Oversees daily staffing, float pools and real-time staffing adjustments. 3. Collaborates with nursing leadership to develop contingency plans for both high demand periods and low census periods. 4. Leads and coordinates patient throughput activities, including bed management, admissions, discharges and transfer. 5. Site lead for inter-facility transfers within the TuftsMedicine system. 6. Acts as the central point of contact for any patient flow barriers. 7. Partners with case management, providers and ancillary services to proactively manage length of stay and timely discharge. 8. Leads initiatives to improve patient flow, reduce bottlenecks and optimize beds utilization. 9. Analyzes patient flow metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement. 10. Develops and presents regular reports on staffing efficiency, resource allocation and throughput performance to leadership. 11. Supervises and mentors the RN Clinical Administrative Coordinator team, Float Pool staff and Staffing Office, may also include other areas of nursing resources. 12. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards related to nursing staffing and patient throughput. 13. Facilitates effective communication and collaboration among nursing units, emergency department, perioperative services and other key departments. 14. Serves as a liaison between departments to ensure alignment of patient flow goals. 15.
