 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Care & Clinical Oversight

 

Support pre-admission processes including intake planning, client assessments and planning for equipment/pharmacy coordination, and staff trainingConduct client visits, participate in case conferences, and contribute to client-centered care plans; initiate updates to plans as neededProvide clinical expertise within scope of practice and ensure services align with best practices and regulatory protocolsDemonstrate cultural humility and integrate trauma-informed, person-centered approaches in client careParticipate in client discharge planningDemonstrate and apply knowledge of Standards of Practice set by the provincial regulating bodyProvide direct/floor hours for client care as needed Conduct medication reconciliation during client intake and dischargeReview medication administration record monthly and in the event of medication changesEnsure compliance with medication administration policies and proceduresEmployee Management & DevelopmentEnsure staff have necessary tools, licenses, and competenciesProvide clinical supervision and direction to coordinators and front-line staff; ensure compliance with legislative standards and company policies

Develop, deliver, and evaluate training and education programs for staff, including controlled acts transfer of authority (TOA), and virtual 

modules; support maintenance of accurate records

 

Provide input on staff disciplinary actions as requiredAssist Senior Manager with supervision of Program Managers and CoordinatorsLead implementation of Modified Work ProgramsParticipate in performance evaluations of field staff and professional reviews of consultants as requested by the Senior Manager and/or Clinical DirectorOperations & Quality AssuranceRepresent Bayshore in community events and healthcare/business committeesEngage in quality improvement initiatives aligned with the Quality Management SystemParticipate in audits and review client documentationEnsure compliance with Public Health, Ministry of Health, and Bayshore policiesConduct final quality assurance review of all NRIO reports Serve in the on-call manager rotationHealth & SafetyServe as Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) co-chair Promote safe work environments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulationsParticipate in proactive safety activities; monitor injury prevention protocolsReport risks and complete accident documentation within 24 hours for injured staffWork safely at all times according to Bayshore standardsSupport with infection prevention and control (IPAC) protocolsEnsure appropriate equipment maintenance and supply inventoriesParticipate in audits and inspections, incident reporting (RL6), and action plansLead emergency preparedness and risk planning protocols and initiatives Professional Conduct & DevelopmentParticipate in internal and external continuing education; share knowledge with staffMaintain confidentiality of client and corporate information; uphold privacy and cybersecurity safeguardsFacilitate effective communication strategies to support quality care and positive relationshipsCommunicate relevant practice issues and adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures
