Don't miss out on the opportunity to work alongside the world's best in paediatric healthcare. **Position Description** The Clinical Instructor is responsible for the clinical training and supervision of learners, trainees, and staff in their area of expertise in collaboration with other modality Clinical Instructors, the Interprofessional Education Specialists and the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology (DIR). **Here's What You'll Get to Do:** + Plan, develop, coordinate, and facilitate practical and theoretical training during clinical placements for learners in DIR modalities + Provide direct clinical teaching to learners, trainees, and new hires in the respective modality + Act as expert resource for new and existing staff, medical education trainees, and learners + Prepare, conduct, and evaluate orientation programs for learners and trainees and advise on academic standards and regulations + Coordinate, complete, and submit learner evaluations + Ensure learners receive timely clinical evaluations and learner progress is documented as required by academic program, and JRCERT standards, and ARRT requirements for the disciplines of radiological technology and MRI + Effectively collaborate with interprofessional teams to manage the activities of the learner within the clinical setting + Co-ordinates professional development activities for learners (i.e. lectures, rotation through various areas of DIR or within the hospital) + Monitor radiation exposure and exchange badges (and/or collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer if applicable), and forward exposure to appropriate institute for review and findings + Contribute to departmental and cross-modality projects to support ongoing education and professional development of staff + Assist DIR staff in developing, maintaining, and enhancing skills related to learner supervision, coaching and mentorship in collaboration with the DIR Preceptorship program + Liaise and collaborate with academic Institutions/partners through email communication and attendance in meetings + Attend and represent the department in meetings with the Learning Institute; participates as a member of the institute's accreditation committee for the program's overall design and development **Here's What You'll Need:** + Successful completion of an accredited or a recognized training program in Medical Radiation Sciences + A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Medical Radiation Technologist + Minimum of one year of experience in clinical teaching or preceptorship + Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) + Membership with the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS) and/or membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) + Exemplary written and oral communication skills + Maintain expert knowledge of professional practice in own discipline and across clinical disciplines + Expertise in all aspects of clinical practice including the routine duties and specialized procedures relating to the functions of the related area (e.g. Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound) + Education in adult learning principles preferred + Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and well-being, and experience advancing EDI and well-being objectives **Here's What You'll Love** + This position is eligible for employee benefits coverage; including health and dental.
