CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR

Status: Part-time, Benefit-Eligible
Average Hours per pay period: 40 hours every 2 weeks
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The HCC Clinical Instructor is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for implementing and presenting orientation programs for new HCC clinical personnel, as well as educational programs, training, and clinical competencies for HCC clinical staff. QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational Registered Nurse with current Illinois License. Bachelor's degree in nursing required or similar healthcare field. At least 3 years nursing experience which has provided opportunities to refine competencies in nursing practice and apply principles and practice of teaching and supervision. Masters degree in nursing or similar healthcare field preferred. ECW experience preferred DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
Personal Maintains good physical and emotional well being. Three or more years assessing, designing, instructing, and evaluating educational programs for adult learners in a clinical setting Proficient writing and communication skills CPR, ACLS & PALS instructor certification recommended. EKG knowledge and interpretation skills, IV knowledge, and venipuncture skills. Is creative, imaginative and receptive to new methodology.
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
