Job Summary Novant Health is seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking Clinical Informatics Analyst to join our Clinical Informatics team. This role is essential in bridging the gap between clinical practice and technology by optimizing the use of electronic medical records (EMRs) and other clinical systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance workflows, improve system performance, and support secure, efficient use of health information systems. Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM Location: Onsite – Wilmington, NC (Must live within 50 miles of greater Wilmington) Department: EPIC Provider Support Healthcare Licensure required + 4 years relevant clinical healthcare experience Key Responsibilities: Ensure secure management of clinical information systems throughout their lifecycle, in alignment with cybersecurity best practices. Understand and manage sensitive data stored, transmitted, or processed within clinical systems. Identify and respond to potential cybersecurity incidents and support incident response efforts. Analyze clinical workflows and identify opportunities for improvement through system enhancements or process redesign. Collaborate directly with clinical staff to evaluate EMR functionality and recommend innovative solutions. Lead efforts to define system and process requirements that optimize technology utilization and support clinical excellence. Serve as a liaison between clinical teams and IT to ensure technology solutions align with clinical needs and organizational goals. What You’ll Do Serves as a resource for daily operations for any issues related to the electronic health record or associated technologies. Supports new technology implementation or upgrades providing onsite support and guidance thereby enhancing end user adoption. Assists with training curriculum and teaches as applicable to promote increasing adoption of technology, efficient care flows and clinical practice utilizing best practice use of the use of the electronic medical record and associated technologies. Supports complex systemic analysis reviews and regulatory surveys. Develop key performance indicators and analyzes data around complex processes, procedures, and outcomes to see continuous improvement. Experience: 4 Years of relevant clinical healthcare experience, Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Healthcare Licensure required ( RN, LPN, RT, PT, etc), Required. Obtain Epic Clinical Informatics Certification within 6 months of hire, Required. Additional Skills Required: Ability to lead meetings. Prioritize multiple responsibilities. Conflict resolution skills. Demonstrates Competency in change readiness for the organization, being flexible as priorities change. Strong organizational skills-Organizes tasks, resources and coordinates activities among multiple disciplines.
