Job Summary
The Informaticist is an integral part of the Clinical Optimization Team. An Informaticist comprehends and advocates the needs of clinical end users for implemented healthcare technology. Acts as a liaison between Information & Technology Services (ITS) and clinical practice within the organization by reporting issues and working through solutions. Participates in projects, upgrades, and updates of clinical applications. Evaluates workflows to determine opportunities for efficiency and works with identified teams to create and implement solutions. Provides application troubleshooting and education to clinical end users.

1-3 years work experience in a clinical setting within a health care organization. Required 1-3 years experience with Clinical Information Systems (CIS) such as EPIC, Dragon, Doc Halo, etc. PreferredSkills and Abilities
Ability to operate a computer and to understand the language used in working with a specific system or systems. Knowledge and understanding of how Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and Clinical Applications are used in Clinical practice setting Excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors Ability to form relationships with peers Investigates, summarizes, and effectively presents current issues and solutions Skilled in analyzing, assessing, and creating recommendations for department/individual needs Creating high-level education relative to system changes Skilled at communicating information relative to system changes to applicable departments/individuals.
