Responsibilities
Do you have a passion for informatics in a healthcare setting? As a Clinical Informaticist, you will use your knowledge, experience, critical thinking, and leadership skills to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to promoting quality care. You’ll be onsite in our Omaha service center to work with key stakeholders to evaluate, plan, develop, and implement new features, and functionality of our healthcare information systems. You will also support end users by providing training for new hires and existing staff.
Some of what you’ll do:
Analyze and plan implementations of new EPIC functionalityProvide oversight and management of assigned projects from beginning to end of implementationProvide training for new hires and existing staff on EPIC functionalityPerform technical review of new optimization requests and upgrade functionality to assess workflow impactCollaborate with EPIC dedicated vendors and teams to research and resolve issuesRemain proficient in company specific applications supported by the Clinical Informatics DepartmentOther duties as assignedDepending on licenses and qualifications, this position may be filled as a non-clinical informaticist or specialistQualifications
Some of what you’ll need
Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Nursing, Informatics, HIT, Health Administration, or other related fieldValid clinical license required for clinical informaticistApplicants without clinical license may be considered for non-clinical informaticist roleTwo years experience in healthcare settingLocated in or able to commute to the Omaha areaExperience with large, diverse projects including planning, facilitating, and implementationExperience working with an EMRPrior experience with EPIC preferredProject Management Professional Certification preferredEpic Proficient or Credentialed in primary module within one year of hire.OverviewCommonSpirit Health was formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health.
