Short DescriptionThe Clinical Educator II is a nursing professional who is responsible for a variety of training and developmental duties in healthcare. The Clinical Educator II possesses master-level competencies to ensure nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel have the skills and training to succeed in their individualized units or specialty.
Nurse educators are expected to use the appropriate theoretical frameworks to help student nurses develop skills that can be used in wide-ranging care. The competencies are learned through education and experience.New hire orientation and annual competency assessments for Patient Care Services Registered Nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel.Nurse educators work with peers, students, administrators, and communities. They are expected to use their problem-solving and decision-making skills to interact with diverse groups.Facilitate learning and assist in the development of new nurses.Design curricula and formulate program outcomes.Provide leadership and guidance in the practice of teaching.Demonstrate strong collaboration across the organization to align educational goals with strategic and corporate goals.Develops policies and clinical nursing practice guidelines using the current evidence on best practices.Operate as change agents and leaders of positive social change.Design, collaborate, and implement educational activities. Participate in continuing education program development.Engage in scholarship that advances the practice of nursing. Experience Required At least 3 years nursing clinical practice in direct patient care required.
