SummaryThe Clinical Therapy Director of School Health leads the school behavioral health therapist team to facilitate and supervise care that meets students’ behavioral, emotional and social needs to support them in achieving their academic best within the contracted school communities of PM Pediatric Care.This position is multi-faceted and includes establishing and meeting clinical benchmarks for quality care and productivity, ensuring proper care is provided in accordance with school program contracts and goals, ensures clinical supervision, oversees educational activities related to school behavioral health for students, staff and parents, and engages with school district staff to ensure and develop relationships needed for successful programming and student outcomes.
The Clinical Therapy Director is also a clinical practitioner (minimum 25 hours per week), responsible for student care within PM School Health contracted services. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Clinical Integration and School Health and works closely with our consulting psychiatrist as well as other clinical, department, and administrative staff throughout PM Pediatric Care.DescriptionResponsible for supporting and implementing program development and oversight of PM Pediatric Care therapists.Supports and develops relationships and referral workflows with community mental health providers; monitors patient service quality and progress for referred patients.Supervise the work of school behavioral health staff through individual and group meetings and/or documentation review and monthly departmental meetings.Train and onboard school behavioral health staff as relates to delivery of clinical care.Provide in-house developmental training for staff on self- care, patient communication, and other topics as needed; identify appropriate external training to develop staff skills in effective use of evidence-based treatment modalities.Provide support for the development of grant funding applications and required reporting for awarded grants and school reporting.Conduct reviews of new and established staff per company recommendations. Mentor the same staff and provide performance improvement plans when necessary.Work closely and collaboratively with the Director of Operations and Account management staff to ensure smooth workflows and processes for seamless care and supported operations.Support the school health business development activities as necessary in recruitment and maintenance of clients.Works at the Baldwin Wellness Center and the teletherapy team, providing services for students using evidence-based treatment modalities.Appropriately documents each patient visit in EMR, including subjective and objective data, assessments, treatment plan and other documentation as necessary. Maintains compliance with all agency policies and procedures.Demonstrates appropriate clinical judgment in assessment and treatment, following established clinical care guidelines; provides appropriate referrals to outside agencies as indicated.Effectively communicates with and educates patients regarding self-care; supports and facilitates patient goal setting.Responds quickly to urgent/emergent needQualificationsLicensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Psychologist.Licensed in the states where practicing in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) or Psychology (PsyD).Post licensure, 5 or more years of experience in providing clinical care and at least 3 years of clinical supervision of staff and programs.Strong oral and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish and English required.Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care and providing culturally competent care; previous experience in an integrated behavioral health setting preferred.Proficient computer skills: experience in electronic medical records preferred.Proven management and solid interpersonal skills, including ability to deal with patients and staff effectively in high-stress situations. Works in harmonious partnership with health center staff to further PM Pediatric Care’s mission and vision, to accomplish common goals and objectives.
