We are looking to add a caregiver who is competent in comprehensive audiologic evaluations and amplification with a special interest in cochlear implants and sensory devices. You will provide best practices for hearing tests and hearing aids using family-centered care.
**This is a PRN position. Caregivers in this role will work various hours filling in and covering for other caregivers. Starting times will be either 7:30am or 8:00am.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provides clinical diagnostic and management services for hearing, balance, and tinnitus disorders/impairment using family-centered care.
+ Provides services in designated clinical space, inpatient hospital space and/or operating room, as needed.
+ Documents and maintains accurate records for all services provided to patients.
+ Completes administrative tasks such as inventory, placing POs, ordering devices and supplies.
+ Ensures performance of daily and monthly equipment checks and biological calibrations.
+ Participates in resident education as requested.
+ Provides direct and indirect supervision of student interns and Au.D students, as requested.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Doctorate in Audiology (AuD).
+ Eligible for an Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology upon hire.
+ Hold Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology upon start date.
+ Obtain Certificate of Clinical Competence Audiology (CCC-A) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within new hire period and maintain CCCs throughout employment.
+ No previous work experience may be required if recently graduated with a Doctor of Audiology degree or equivalent.

**Physical Requirements:**
+ Must be able to assist patients with mobility problems.
+ Good hand dexterity to manipulate small objects associated with hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc.
+ Ability to push carts which carry audiology test equipment.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
