Clinical Applications Specialist - Handheld Ultrasound
Job Description SummaryAs the eClinical Applications Specialist – Handheld Ultrasound, you will lead virtual product introductions, demonstrations, and product training sessions. You’ll support customers and commercial teams from pre-sale through post-implementation, delivering outcome-based education that enhances clinical competency, workflow, and image quality. Your work will help improve patient care and productivity while promoting GE HealthCare Ultrasound solutions through engaging virtual experiences. You’ll also contribute to content development, internal training, and remote demo strategies, under the guidance of the Clinical Education and eClinical Applications Manager.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities              

Provide technical and clinical leadership during virtual pre-sales process by showcasing product capabilities and clinical benefits to customers to drive revenue within the region.

Coordinate and deliver goal-oriented virtual product training to customers:  monitor and report on training outcomes.

Serve as a subject matter expert Handheld Ultrasound and eClinical liaison to the sales organization with the goal of strengthening clinical capabilities of the team and customer relationships, while also driving business opportunities.

Support new product (NPI) features and clinical techniques; develop training strategies for customer adoption.

Partner with Clinical Applications Specialists, Product Sales Specialists, Segment Leaders and Clinical Education team members to understand account strategy and tailor product demonstration to customer needs and desired outcomes.

Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and customer training.

Act as focal point for Handheld Ultrasound, identify customer satisfaction issues, assist in escalations, problem determination and specialty training requests.

Build strong relationships with customers, highlight key opinion leaders (KOLs) where necessary to standardize and optimize protocols and support our clinical education initiatives.

Embrace and promote adoption of hybrid training delivery mindset for your customer. 

Maintain required well-written pre and post training documentation in conjunction with global guidance.

Demonstrate safety first and quality mindset, maintaining applicable processes as part of the Quality Management System and EHS policies and procedures.

Deliver professional virtual experiences using digital studio tools, media and streaming tools provided.

Provide clinical, technical and customer feedback information to marketing, engineering, and field applications.

Support internal education across markets and regions.

Consult and assist as subject matter expert focused on market trends to maintain GE HealthCare's leadership in the eClinical Virtual Studio Pre-Sales arena.

Collaborate with VEPL/CEM, assist in creation and development of demo scripts and questions for proper product and solution positioning across customer segments.

Occasional onsite system support to ensure continued education and growth in clinical areas and system technology

Provide virtual internal product training to different teams within GE

Qualifications/Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent and 3+ years of technical/clinical industry experience; plus, ARDMS certification.  

Deep understanding of clinical education training and associated process implementation.

Demonstrated experience delivering complex information and modifying messaging based on audience.

Comfortable interacting and presenting in the virtual environment

Knowledge of Healthcare Information Systems, networking, and IT

Driven by advancements in the role of technology to promote new methods of remote sessions

Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills from a remote environment

Interpersonal and telephone communications skills with exceptional professional disposition and demeanor

Ability to prioritize and manage objectives independently.

Ability to travel to support customers and team onsite

Dedicated home workspace to safely set up digital studio and ultrasound equipment while supporting virtual presentations with customers and team members.

Desired Characteristics

Bachelor’s degree

3+ years GEHC experience in customer facing role(s)

Knowledge of Handheld and Point of Care industry trends

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team

Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization

Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process

Strong communication and clear-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products

Knowledge in production and multi-media tools (HD cameras, production, and conferencing software)

Experienced in demonstrating products and solutions to a variety of healthcare audiences

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $89,600.00-$134,400.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
