Responsibilities Leads and directs the technical personnel, activities and equipment of the respiratory services in Pulmonary: Promotes healing of acutely ill patients whose pulmonary systems have been compromised through illness or injury through the provision of respiratory care, diagnostic testing, providing for the psycho-social needs of the patient, and patient education. Encourages and enhances the progression and efficient operation of the Pulmonary Services Department. Treats adult patients. When requested, assists day-to-day operations of the Pulmonary Department, referring out-of-the –ordinary issues to the Manager and/or Medical Director, as appropriate. Provides diagnostic testing to the patient to help optimize the total care given. Performs pulmonary function testing (PFT’s) with or without dilation, Pulmonary stress tests and 6 minute walks. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING + 2 years Acute care experience, required. + NRP certification, required + Current BCLS, required + Pulmonary Function CPFT or PRFT license, required + Valid Nevada State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License, required + Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current, required + English fluency (written and verbally) required.
