Your determination to deliver quality and accuracy will improve health outcomes that people and communities depend on – now and in the future. \nLocation/Division Specific Information\nOur global Clinical Operations colleagues within our PPD® clinical research services provide end-to-end support for clinical trials from study start up to monitoring through to study close out, across commercial and government contracts. Together, we help clients define and develop clinical programs, minimize delays, and execute high-quality, cost-efficient clinical studies.\nDiscover Impactful Work:\nSupervises the technical staff and the technical operations of the department to ensure proper staff accountability, operational consistency, and proper execution of a study's technical procedures.\nA day in the Life:\nServes as a technical consultant in the planning and execution of study conduction workflows and setup.\nOversees the technical aspects and operation of study conduction in the clinic and makes any necessary technical adjustments to ensure staff efficiency while simultaneously protecting data integrity and quality.\nPrepares the weekly scheduling and study conduction assignments of staff to meet the operational needs of the clinic.\nEnsures staff accountability and consistency in the execution of their respective duties and management of their working hours within TimeSite.\nLeads and directs quarterly departmental staff meetings. Develops the operational and training agendas for monthly mentor meetings. \nPerforms other duties as assigned\nKeys to Success: \nEducation\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nExperience\nPrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 5 years).\n1+ year of leadership responsibility\nIn some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training \nand/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the \nrequirements of the role.\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities\nGeneral knowledge of the clinical research process\nGeneral knowledge of Phase I Clinic operations\nProficient computer skills including Microsoft Office\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nStrong interpersonal skills\nAbility to analyze complex data\nEffective problem solving and critical thinking skills\nAttention to detail and organizational capabilities\nEffective time-management and multi-tasking skills\nAbility to work well in a collaborative team environment\nPhysical Requirements / Work Environment \nWork is performed in an office and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.\nExposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.\nPersonal protective equipment may be required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.\nExposure to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare occasions.\nFrequently works at a fast pace under varying time constraints\nFrequently requires working on multiple priorities simultaneously\nPhysical Requirements:\nFrequently vertical and /or stationary for 6-8 hours per day.\nRepetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. \nFrequent mobility required.\nFrequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.\nLight to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs. \nAbility to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.\nAbility to communicate moderately complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. \nFrequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups.\nAbility to apply basic principles to solve conceptual issues.\nPerforms a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress.
