POSITION SUMMARY
Manages the daily operations of the assigned clinic to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Essential Functions:
Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Performs Human Resources functions (interviewing, hiring, disciplinary actions), performance appraisals of staff and makes recommendations for staffing needs. Assures staff are properly oriented and competencies maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job. However, an equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.
A. High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in applicable field is strongly desired.
B. Work experience: Minimum three years experience working in a medical setting is preferred. Prefer one year managerial experience in a similar clinical setting.
C. Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Working knowledge of cash management principles and/or procedures. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), with a focus on Excel.
Must have the ability to make sound and evaluative judgements, strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and telephone skills required. Good public speaking ability is required. Good computer skills are required and must have the ability to train other staff members. Must be able to work independently, have strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively with a wide range of people to include teams, managers, supervisors, vendors and physicians. Encourages teamwork, is energetic and motivates teams and individuals. Must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills. Time management skills are required, as is the ability to manage stressful situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Eye and hand coordination, manual dexterity for computer skills and visual acuity and hearing corrected to normal required. Extended periods of sitting required, with some walking, stooping and bending. Able to lift up to 20 lbs. and reach above shoulder height. Must be able to remain focused on the task at hand.
