As the Clinic Clerk, you will ensure quality patient care is being seen through the Refugee Program. Apply today! Responsibilities:Perform administrative duties such as assisting with patient registration, capturing encounters, checking patients in/out, documenting third-party insurance i.e., Medicaid, creating and scheduling appointments in EPIC (electronic medical record), and handling telephone callsReceive and monitor interpreter and taxi providers at the clinic Provide translation services for clinical staff, when needed Perform data entry required for program reporting i.e., eSHARERetrieve, files, and ensures that medical records are available for client carePrepare medical records for document imaging and scanningParticipate in various business process initiatives such as patient flow analysis, document imaging, etc.Assist in performing data entry and electronic data processingQualifications and Requirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredA minimum of 1 year of clinical or administrative work experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not requiredStrong attention to detail with written and verbal communication skills are preferredTranslation services will need to be provided; any language other than English is requiredEMR: Epic experience and Adobe Pro are a strong plusMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background checkBenefits and Perks:$16-$18/hr. Once hired on with the organization they offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes three weeks of Paid Time Off, PPO or HMO, and 401k. Your New Organization:Our client is a Public Health organization with multiple locations within the Houston and Greater Houston areas with various career growth opportunities.
