Climate Action and Sustainability Lead, Greater China

Your Role

Gensler is seeking a leader with deep sustainable design expertise in the built environment, including experience setting project and portfolio performance targets, and with strategic consulting including development of sustainability guidelines, third party certifications, carbon action planning and Climate action reporting. The focus of this role is a combination of technical leadership, mentorship, and business development across all aspects of sustainable design and project delivery.  As a Sustainability and Climate Action lead at Gensler, you will work in collaboration with sustainable design leaders in the Greater China Region and more broadly across the firm. 

 

What You Will Do 

Provide oversight and strategic direction to clients and design teams on sustainability consulting projects Work closely with senior sustainability team to direct project portfolio for the Greater China region in collaboration with design teams Advise the Executive on strategic direction for achieving GC3 goals and report on progress made towards achieving them Interact and work with key Clients accounts to elevate and implement sustainable design strategies. Provide thought leadership in sustainable design and climate action, both internally and externally Partner with client relationship leaders to advance sustainability and climate action conversations with our clients Collaborate with Practice Leaders to create, launch and grow new services within the sustainability arena

 

Your Qualifications 

Sustainable Development experience, preferably in the Architecture & Design industry Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a field of study related to Architecture or Interior Design LEED Accreditation with at least one specialty Strong knowledge in building science and high-performance building systems with ability to bridge complex conversations between consultants, clients, and manufacturers Deep market knowledge and thought leadership in Sustainability with a focus on the built environment  Strong knowledge of certifications and project management, gained through directly relevant project experience and education Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills Strong writing, speaking, organizational skills, and technical presentation ability Be proactive and adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong programming and space planning skills High level of design competence with knowledge of building codes.
