Client Services Engineer - Bloomberg Broadway (Sell-Side), Pune

We’re looking for someone to be a part of a team of exceptional troubleshooters to support the fast-paced world of Fixed Income trading at some of the world's largest financial institutions. This is a unique opportunity to flex every ounce of technical muscle you have to enhance, debug, and fix trading systems that are responsible for billions of dollars of transactions a day.

This role currently has a stronger focus on traditional reactive support duties, but we are looking to evolve it into a more proactive and impactful function, with a strong emphasis on scripting & automation, observability & monitoring, process improvement, and technical ownership. To that end, we are looking for strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and passion for engaging with clients and improving their workflows.
On our team, you can expect to help us by: Diagnosing and resolving customer trading system issues in real-time using a hands-on approachInteracting with a wide spectrum of people at customer sites, from heads of trading desks to developers and systems administratorsProactively preventing future problems by coming up with both tactical and strategic solutionsWe’ll trust you to: Handle pressure-filled situations involving millions of dollars of trades while remaining cool and collectedSolve issues and questions in production systems to address issues ranging from missing trades to exchange connectivity problems to system outagesYou’ll need to have: ~3 years of professional experience in software development or production systems supportStrong programming skills in any major language (Python, C++, Java, etc.)A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study, or equivalent practical experiencePassion for working in a client-facing support role with enthusiasm to proactively improve client experience through initiatives such as tools development and automationCuriosity, resilience, and a methodical approach to problem-solvingEffective communication skills - you enjoy asking questions, learning from others, and working with diverse teamsWillingness to learn about production systems, networking, and real-time software environmentsWe’d love to see:Python programming skillsProficiency with SQL and databasesPrevious experience in a customer-facing software support roleExperience with electronic trading protocols including FIXExperience working with UNIX/LinuxKnowledge of the business of financial trading, preferably fixed incomeIf this sounds like you:Apply if you think we're a good match.
