TRS Staffing have an exciting new role for a WTG Commissioning Client Representative
The role will see you act as the Principal Contractor’s (PC) representative and observe the Contractor’s activities associated with hot commissioning of the WTGs providing feedback to the onshore teams (WTG package team and Principal Contractor).
REQUIREMENTS Experience of providing offshore rep services in offshore renewables (preferably under an EPCI Contract environment). Proven experience as offshore representative for WTG commissioning on UK windfarms is essential. Proven competency in LOLER and PUWER Experience with handover procedures is preferable Experience working on other SGRE projects is preferable Experience with Commissioning and Energisation Scopes of Work A strong working knowledge and understanding of the appointed roles under CDM (2015) and UK Health and Safety requirements Strong understanding of best wind industry practice, applicable codes, standards relevant to offshore construction. Evidence of CDM competency IT proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet), experience using inspection/auditing software in a construction environment desirable. Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with others (shall be fluent in spoken and written English) SCOPE The Offshore Rep shall observe the Contractor’s performance and represent the WTG package team in matters of HSE, quality, Contractor’s procedures and programme. The Offshore Rep shall support the WTG Commissioning Manager with the evaluation and management of risks associated with the WTG Commissioning package. The Offshore Rep shall provide front line support to Energisation Teams for daily works and raising of issues/concerns from the Energisation Team. The Offshore Rep will have the full support from the Commissioning Supervisors, based on the Cold Commissioning Vessel. DELIVERABLES To review and agree with the Contractors offshore representative the progress of the works on a daily basis in the form of a Daily Progress Report (including an accurate daily record of all Commissioning activities including but not limited to commissioning, post-installation completion works, breakdowns, and weather downtime throughout the execution phase ). Additionally produce an internal Daily Progress Report. Liaising with the Commissioning Supervisor (based on the Cold Commissioning Vessel) in regard to on-site progress and any topics requiring escalation. Responsible for attending and chairing meetings on behalf of the WTG package and the PC when required. Prompt identification and notification of any construction issue that may arise or have the potential to arise during the works and contributing in resolving any issues where applicable. Management of safety and quality through participation in safety and quality walks on behalf of the PC. This should include identification and reporting any safety-related observations on a day-to-day basis as well as performing primary duties and raising alerts to any perceived trends relating to HSE risks as they arise. In the event of an incident / accident, following the Emergency response plan and provision of information to support investigation(s) and insurance claims. Responsible for liaising with the Contractor to ensure compliance with the Construction Phase Plan and with their own HSE plan.

GWO Training: Sea Survival, Working at heights, Enhanced First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling. Helicopter Under Water Escape Training (HUET) with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) certification. XBR” Shoulder measurement Current valid Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) / Oil and Gas UK (OGUK), accompanied by Chester Step Test. Minimum IOSH Managing Safely.
