Position summary: Responsible for developing, monitoring and maintaining client relationships that result in sustainable and profitable business; seeking, developing and securing new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategic business and tactical action plans and participating in related marketing and business activities. Also, will integration of JMT’s national, regional and local goals within its transportation business line, markets and service lines for the state of South Carolina as well as the Carolinas Region. Also serves as a programs development manager and quality assurance (QA) manager for implementation of these strategies as well as for specific programs and individual projects all to achieve growth of JMT’s market share within the state and Carolinas region.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain a strong and diverse business/industry network by utilizing the depth of relationships with state and SC Municipal/County officials and industry partners
+ Works with Regional Manager and Office Leaders in the Carolinas Region to d evelop relationships with new/existing clients to discover project and program information
+ C ollaborate with JMT’s Leadership, Regional Manager, Office Leaders and Deputy CMO on business development activities and implementation of the Regional Strategic Plan.
+ Develop, monitor and implement strategic business plan and action plans for potential markets, clients and projects to position JMT as a “go to” firm in SC and NC.
+ Monitor client performance trends/issues utilizing CRM
+ Obtain feedback from clients to assess past JMT performance. Develop correction action plans, as necessary
+ Monitor select policy and industry conditions/trends and provide regular reports to firm leadership
+ Serve as liaison to key national industry organizations such as AASHTO, SASHTO, ACEC etc.
+ Participate in training and development of future firm leaders
+ Actively participate in / maintain leadership positions in client and industry organizations, conferences, events, etc.
+ Develop and report on Metrics of Marketing success
+ Assist in mentoring and developing staff and with recruiting key hires who can help increase JMT’s share of targeted service lines.
+ Provide quality assurance (QA) for assigned opportunities
Nonessential functions and responsibilities:
+ Assist with the preparation/review of proposals within South Carolina and other states as needed
+ Perform other related duties as assigned
Required SkillsRequired Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 15+ years of related experience
+ Comprehensive knowledge of firm’s practice areas, clients and competition
+ Leadership, management or supervisory experience
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
+ Knowledgeable of the RFP structure and proposal process
+ Strong understanding of A/E industry terminology, business practices and delivery methods
Qualifications preferred:
+ Professional Registration and/or certifications in area of specialization
Working Conditions:
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
