Overview Who are we looking for: We’re looking for an experienced Client Partner to cover a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a senior leadership role within our reporting client management team, where you’ll oversee delivery and the team, and contribute to new business and client development. You’ll bring 10+ years of experience in corporate and sustainability reporting, communications, and project management—with a track record of delivering complex reporting suites, managing multidisciplinary teams, and leading senior client relationships at a top UK agency. You’ll be someone who remains calm under pressure, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can lead large, multifaceted projects with a balance of structure, clarity and care. You’ll know reporting season rhythms inside out and bring a sense of control and reassurance to teams and clients. The team and work you’ll lead: You’ll report into the Managing Partner, and together lead a team of 6+ account directors, managers and executives delivering high-profile annual, integrated and sustainability reports for major international clients. You’ll have a small client portfolio of your own (1–2 accounts) while also overseeing work across the team. You’ll support 3–4 direct reports, act as the senior escalation point, and ensure we’re delivering exceptional client service, smooth delivery, and commercial rigour across all accounts. Responsibilities Main Responsibilities: • Serve as the most senior member of the reporting client management team, responsible for oversight of all active projects, team performance, and client service standards • On your own accounts, act as client lead across all workstreams (print, digital, design, consultancy, production), ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard — with or without junior support • Lead the delivery of complex, multi-market reporting projects with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity of scope, roles and timelines from start to finish • Ensure the use of strong project management tools and processes, and lead the evolution of best practices across the team (including scoping, resourcing, documentation and internal comms) • Deliver exceptional client service — anticipate needs, manage inputs and expectations, and lead difficult conversations with clarity and empathy • Be responsible for the financial health of your own projects and contribute to commercial planning across the wider team. Work with the Managing Partner and Commercial Director on forecasting and managing revenue and margin • Lead and contribute to new business pitches — from RFP writing to proposal development and final pitch presentations • Support client development by identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts and encouraging the same mindset across the team • Maintain high standards across all project outputs, including project documentation, written comms, design proofs and final deliverables Qualifications Qualifications • 10+ years in corporate and/or sustainability reporting, communications or brand consultancy, ideally leading UK agency-side • Strong team leadership and line management experience, including senior talent • Proven track record in delivering large-scale reports and leading multi-million pound accounts • Experience in new business development — from initial conversations to pitch leadership and conversion • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copy editing and proofing • Highly organised, solutions-focused and calm under pressure • A natural collaborator who builds trust quickly with clients and colleagues Additional information Salter Baxter has fantastic benefits on offer to all of our employees.
