The Role:
Client Partner I
You Are: A strong Client Partner - a key role in our growth and tasked with rapid business expansion
within accounts, including growing a select existing clients within Banking and Financial Services
vertical with clearly established top line and bottom-line targets, and being able to sell new service
offerings and solutions to the client cluster in order to achieve targeted results
Key Responsibilities:
• Achieve Revenue Targets: Meet established revenue targets by forecasting and managing
sales, revenue, and margins for existing customers.
• Relationship Management: Build, grow, and nurture long-term, value-based relationships
with senior client stakeholders, focusing on multiple accounts at a time.
• Collaborative Support: Work closely with technical leaders to support the delivery team,
ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed.
• Consultative Business Development: Engage in consultative business development, expanding
relationships both vertically and horizontally within client organizations.
• Executive Engagement: Approach client executives as true business partners, aiming to
expand the company’s breadth and depth to its full potential.
• Strategic Partnership: Take a consultative approach with C-level executives and other
stakeholders to achieve their business goals, redefine their industries, drive complex
negotiations, and resolve conflicts.
• IP and Best Practices Development: Help develop a range of intellectual property and best
practices around client and portfolio development to build the client base into a significant
strategic asset.
• Opportunity Identification: By thoroughly understanding a client’s strategy, identify
opportunities to enhance the partnership and increase revenue throughout its duration.
• Risk Mitigation: Monitor how UST executes engagements and take a proactive approach to
mitigating potential risks before they arise.
• Stay Informed: Keep current with UST’s business strategy and IT goals.
• Banking and Financial Services Skills: Industry Expertise: Extensive knowledge and experience
within the consumer and commercial banking, asset management, and wealth management
sectors, including regulatory requirements, market trends, and competitive landscape.
• Financial Solutions: Ability to understand and articulate the value of financial technology
solutions, including digital banking, payment systems, regulatory compliance tools, and
wealth management platforms.
• Risk Management: Proficient in risk management practices specific to banking, asset
management, and wealth management, including cybersecurity and fraud prevention.
• Client Strategy: Experience developing and implementing client strategies within banking and
financial services to drive growth, enhance customer experience, and improve operational
efficiency.
• Regulatory Compliance: In-depth understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and
the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
• Market Trends: Stay updated on the latest market trends, emerging technologies, and
innovations within banking, asset management, and wealth management sectors.
• Lines of Business: Expertise in various lines of business within banking, such as retail banking,
corporate banking, investment banking, and private banking, as well as asset and wealth
management services.
• Revenue-Generating Experience: Proven experience in executive revenue-generating roles,
bringing comprehensive business acumen to account strategies and cultivating ‘win-win’ value
propositions.
