The Role:
The Client Manager in the Life & Health Markets & Clients in Mexico is a proactive business driver, innovative thinker and energizing collaborator with a growth mindset, a pivotal player in the execution of LH1 Madrid’s strategy in the market, with a strong focus in scaling the core.
Based in Mexico City and reporting to the Regional Head of Markets & Clients in LH1 Madrid, he/she is able to represent Munich RE´s brand and LH1 Madrid value proposition within the various stakeholder groups, consolidating our market platform to generate new organic growth opportunities and protect our existing portfolio, influence and thought leadership in the Mexican and Central American market, and hence articulating the benefits in a manner meaningful to an insurance company.
Your Job:
Mexico strategic roadmap execution: sponsored by Regional Management Team, actively lead the growth agenda, with strong focus on developing new segments in collaboration with all internal experts;Manage and protect what we want, performing an active portfolio management of the existing business, in coordination with all relevant Munich Re stakeholders (i.e. pricing team, underwriting team, amongst others); Market access: in order to achieve the above, cultivate and actively manage relationships with all relevant market influencers, industry stakeholders and decision-makers, strengthening Munich Re´s market access, influence and leadership (top of mind re-insurance industry partner in Life and Health);Collaborate towards success: by strengthening the local platform and showing deep understanding of the market´s and partner´s needs, collaborate with all relevant experts and stakeholders towards concrete actions leading to success. Both internally with the Munich Re Mexico team and environment as well as with the rest of LH1 Madrid and relevant stakeholders.Risk awareness and getting the basics right: Understand and actively contribute to the whole risk management aspects of an opportunity origination; Continuously monitor the local insurance and reinsurance industry trends developments, including competitor´s actions, which may require to review and adapt action plans accordingly;Act as a proud ambassador of Munich Re, representing its brand, identity and values.
Your tasks:
Execute current prospects to a successful implementation, leading to new reinsurance business, orchestrating all internal stakeholders towards it;Lead the origination of new prospects within the identified new segments, aligned with the overall Life and Health strategy for Mexico;Provide accurate and timely projections and plans for assigned prospects and new partners, coordinated with the respective Life and Health regional experts and other relevant stakeholders;Document client information and socialize it through the appropriate Munich Re channels, ensuring adequate exchange and communication;Promote regular contacts between the client and appropriate members of the Life and Health regional team and Munich Re´s senior management, if appropriate;Participate in the respective business teams both locally in MR Mexico and within Life and Health Regional team to exchange on the progress of the overall roadmap execution;Facilitate the support services (service proposition) to clients and partners if deemed appropriate from a cost-benefit perspective.
Your Profile:
Outstanding academic profile with a university degree in Business Administration, Law, Actuarial, MBA or equivalent preferred;Broad business development and relationship management experience in (re)-insurance, +7 years Life and Health reinsurance experience preferred;Proven market access record and experience in Mexico preferred;Solutions-oriented, can manage effectively complex change in an evolving and dynamic environment, with the ability to lead by influence within diverse stakeholder groups;Skilled at networking, generating leads, building a pipeline and closing business;Self-starter who is highly motivated, manages multiple priorities efficiently and is results oriented;Team player, collaborative and with a positive and growth mindset;Excellent communication and presentation skills;Proficient in PC skills (MS Office tools);Excellent command of both Spanish (native) and English
