Client Finance Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Direction & Client Relationship Management

Provide clear direction and strategic financial advice to the leadership & extended leadership team.Act as primary liaison with the client’s global financial lead.Proactively develop and manage client / business unit relationships ensuring that the expected services are delivered across regions are consistent with the contractual scope of services and within budget.Actively encourage an environment that supports teamwork, functional integration, financial transparency, co-operation & performance excellence.

Financial Planning and Analysis (Client and JLL)

Oversee and coordinate the activities of the team across regions with respect to the annual budget setting and quarterly forecasting cycle.Ensure that accurate and timely financial information is provided to all members of the management team.Maintain a thorough understanding of the client’s accounting structure and associated systems. Translate that knowledge to ensure a smooth and consistent flow of financial data.Develop, maintain & deliver in a timely manner, financial reporting to the client across all regions.Coordinate and track the cost savings initiatives through regions, both strategic portfolio management, operational, platform and capital savings.Accountable for consolidating the JLL global annual profitability plan and subsequent forecasts.

Invoice Payment & Processing

Ensure the regional teams are effectively managing the processing and payment of all regional property operating and capital expenditure invoices, including payment of rental to landlords, in accordance with legal obligations.Ensure that incidental revenue streams (i.e. sub-lease rents) are accounted for in a timely manner.Accountable for the timely coordination of the JLL invoice processing and monitoring & managing working capital.Explore process improvements, standardization opportunities to ensure the best use of existing resources and potential for optimizations.

Controls, Compliance & Audit:

Ensure that appropriate process and systems controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of transactions.Develop and maintain relevant policies and procedures with respect to all financial & support services associated with the account. Managing teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control.Ensure data integrity of the systems across all regions.Ensure that all financial accounting and reporting is audit-ready and in keeping with recognized quality management processes.

Team Management

Ensure all finance staff are well trained in the relevant financial systems & are effectively able to extract dataEnsure the team is structured to maintain & exceed the client’s financial expectations.Act as manager and coach for the team ensuring high staff morale, trust, work ethics, clear goals and performance reviews.Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration across other functional verticals within the firm in adopting/sharing of best practices.Maintain the One Team approach and undertake all activities to ensure finance is perceived and acts like united support function to the client and the business.

Requirements

Recognised accounting designation and/or MBA is preferred with 7 to 10 years of senior financial leadership experience or a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance plus a minimum of 15 years of related work experience.Strong understanding of client estate management/Lease administration business and processes.Understanding of and commitment to business partnering and client service.Strong accounting, analytical, relationship management and organizational skills.Previous Global or international experience essential.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong presentation skills to internal and external parties.Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Proficiency in computer-based accounting applications. Experience with Horizon and JD Edwards platforms a plus.Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic.A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment.
