VCA Canada’s Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.E.) Centre is hiring a full time Client Care to cover a leave from September 2025 to September 2026.
About the Role
The role of the Client Care Representative is to provide exceptional service and education to our clients. Your role is very important as you are the first and last person our clients interact with to leave a lasting impression in building trust and loyalty with our clients.
Your responsibility is to focus on the client’s experience by coordinating between the client and members of the medical team. Your primary goal is to ensure the clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for and appreciated.
Desired Attributes and Requirements
Previous veterinary experience or graduate from an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is preferred
1 year minimum prior experience in customer service and administrative duties
Prior knowledge or ability to learn medical terminology
Exceptional client service skills and the ability to work calmly while under pressure as many client visits are of an emergency nature.
Empathetic, nurturing and positive attitude even when the day does not go as planned.
Skilled in prioritizing needs, open to change and adaptable
Initiative in carrying out assignments independently and often quickly

Schedule: Must be flexible and available to work shift work (early as 6am and late as 2am depending on the schedule), available weekdays (weekends and holidays as required on rotation).
