Position Summary

Under the direction of the Administrative Support Supervisor or Clinical Manager, the Clinical Clerical Assistant provides office support to team members to ensure efficient and coordinated service delivery. Communicates in a professional manner with public and staff.


Position Specific Responsibilities

Assists the clinical team by performing clerical duties in the daily performance of their duties.Assists in ensuring the patient medical record is accurate and complete in accordance with industry and ministry standards.Assists in ensuring the admission medical record is accurate and complete in accordance with industry and agency standards.Establishes and promotes positive working relationships both within the team, ministry and organization and outside agencies.Maintains a positive and professional work environment.Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and/or Experience

Required - 1 year Office or field experience.


Skills

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.Language Skills: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy.Computer Skills: Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Publisher.Other Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of general office procedures and basic medical terminology.Other Skills and Abilities: Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with patients, potential patients, family members, volunteers, referral sources, staff and vendors.Other Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of calls from staff, patients, physicians and community.Other Skills and Abilities: Sensitivity to and ability to maintain confidential information.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to be flexible to the daily needs of the ministry.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to prioritize daily tasks.Other Skills and Abilities: Good telephone/customer service skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. In a healthcare setting, exposure to bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and conditions typical to the field is expected. Routine use of standard medical equipment and tools associated with clinical care is essential. Compensation range: $20.76- $30.31

 

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities
