Cleansing Operations Manager
We are looking for an experienced operationally minded individual capable of managing the councils street cleansing services. You will be leading the team and shaping service delivery to ensure consistent quality and performance at a time when the Council is looking to make significant financial savings. As the Cleansing Operations Manager you will be managing a large team of employees working across the whole borough, and you will also be responsible for organising regular interdependent pieces of work with internal and external partners such as Grounds Maintenance, JET, the Highways Agency, Environment Agency and County Council. Excellent communication, influencing and organisational skills are therefore a must. You will need to focus on continual improvement of our cleansing services through our in-house workforce and contribute to the councils future waste strategies. The role will require an ability to control and manage significant budgets, people and vehicle resource management and a determination to deliver the very best services to our residents and our borough. You will be educated to NVQ level 5 or have equivalent experience and have a sound knowledge of street cleansing and financial management. You will be required to demonstrate a proven record of managing change and developing strong working relationships with partners to deliver value for money services.
