Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Special Education Teachers in the implementation of an effective educational program for children assigned. Provides services to young children.

Responsibilities:

Assists in the formulation and implementation of educational Programming consistent with the I.E.P. and Master Treatment Plan.Prepare and present verbal and written reports concerning children�s educational progressWith Departmental privileging administer educational diagnostic tests.Attend and participate in meetings or conferences including supervisory sessions staff meetings or other meetings as assigned.Participate in parent conference as required.Participate in diagnostic evaluations.Prepare maintain and submit required reports records statistical data or other information.Assist assigned children in all aspects of daily programming including self-care social skills and recreation.Observes all hospital policies rules and regulations.Perform other duties as required assigned or directed.

Other information:

Baccalaureate Degree preferred with a major in Special Education or related human service fields.Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care processEXPERIENCE:Prior experience working with children helpful.
