Job Description
The Analyst is an individual contributor who also works in a team environment on different activities that impact Classification for Global Trade (CGT) and the Company.
You will handle daily transactional tasks and department projects as assigned. The analyst will work on issues of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data is required. Specialist can determine accurate export/import classification data for standard and Engineered to Order (ETO) products using appropriate software tools and following RA Global Trade Compliance policies and procedure. Specialist will also conduct analysis whether products qualify for different FTAs. You will support global Company program, projects and participate in global auditing of classification data. You will handle daily transactional tasks and department projects as assigned. Through an understanding of both compliance processes and information systems, you will help discuss strategies and improvements within the department.
You will report to the TEAM LEADER, TRADE CLASSIFICATION- EMEA/AP.
Your Responsibilities:General knowledge of the following regulations and rules:Harmonized Tariff Schedule on a global level following WCO rules and regulations. Global Country of Origin rulesDetermine global HTS codes, COO for all productsRead and interpret Bills of Material, engineering drawings and other technical dataWorking knowledge of global Free Trade Agreements and how to determine eligibility.Create adequate backup documentation for product classifications and country of origin per department proceduresMonitor inbound and outbound shipments for missing classification dataRelease orders on hold in the systemsNavigate SAP/IFS systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise in daily transactionsRespond to classification inquiries from outside of the departmentWork on projects as assignedEnsure compliance with Rockwell Automation global proceduresDrives continuous results for monthly metricsAchieve goals within the departmentThe Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's degree in and of the following areas: Business Management, International Business, Operations, Logistics, EngineeringEnglish skills1- 3 years of experience in classification and import/export compliance activitiesBoth domestic and international (Less than 5%)What We Offer:Our benefits package includes …
