GFL Environmental is looking for a Class 1 Driver to join our team in Duncan , British Columbia!  

As a Class 1 driver you will be responsible to safely, efficiently, and courteously provide waste transport in Duncan , British Columbia. An ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor and is physically capable of completing job duties in a positive, team-oriented and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Responsible for performing assigned duties and hauling of customers waste to desired destination. 

• Perform driver check-ins periodically to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion. 

• Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities 

• Required to tarp loads 

• Required to be able to lift 25-50 pounds 

• Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies 

• May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Route Supervisor/Site Manager 

• Required to follow all applicable Provincial and Federal transportation laws 

Requirements 

• Must have valid Class 1 License with Air Brake endorsement 

• 1-2 years driving experience in a transportation sector 

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Walking-floor trailer experience is an asset
