OFFICE LOCATIONS
Portland, Oregon (in-office)

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To provide technical claims support to the claims staff and customer service to claimants, clients and vendors.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE

Calculates and submits for examiner approval for: average weekly wage and compensation rate, weekly TTD/TPD indemnity payments, court-ordered payments, and cost of living adjustments (COLA) per state requirements.Processes and submits approved bills to the bill review vendor and out-of-pocket expenses and manual bills for vendors and claimants.Handles communications and utilization review, vendor, claimant, and client calls on behalf of claims examiners.Performs administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and other clerical duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing: 1 year of clerical or customer service experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required.

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $15.00-$19.00/hr. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, 401k and matching, PTO, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, flexible spending or health savings account, and other additional voluntary benefits.
