ResponsibilitiesThe position is responsible for providing administrative claims support.
Key Functions will include but not be limited to:
Ensure external and internal customers have outstanding experience with the department and discern customers who are upset or frustratedTake first notice of loss reports, accurately enter new loss information into the claim system, route the claims for assignment to the correct adjusterDraft and send initial contact letters, gather policy documents, order police reports, coordinate vendor assignments Assist adjusters with SIU referrals, acknowledgement letters, and vendor paymentsDraft correspondence such as underwriting advisories and client contact letters Maintain data and update Excel Worksheets Process and attach mail/email/faxes/physical evidence into the correct claim files, accurately label and categorize the same Serve as first level of contact for external customer service inquiriesNotify business partners by phone/email regarding messages, inquiries and claims issuesRequest W9 forms from vendorsProcess expense/invoice paymentsPost financial transactions such as salvage, subrogation and deductible recoveries to the claim systemPrepare check attachmentsDownload claim files to CDs for Attorney and Suit AssignmentsTransfer data received via CD to the claim systemPrepare Attorney Assignment packets for law suits to include specific attachments, file copies, and prepare for mailingTranscribe recorded statementsUpdate/maintain On-Call lists Assist Claim Adjusters with administrative and clerical assignmentsPerform other duties and/or projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or some college preferred Self-motivated and results orientedCapable of working with internal and external teams and partnersSuperior customer experience skillsPositive attitude and professional demeanorStrong computer skills, including Excel and Outlook, and the ability to master multiple policy and claims Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting agencies or firms.The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
