Overview of CAS MONEY OUT:

We are one of the High-Risk Administration departments in the OMiX CAS and we rely on our Multis-Skilled Servicing Consultants to be authentic, vigilant, respectful, and accountable and practice Integrity when servicing our customers.  We require our Multis-Skilled Servicing Consultants to be continuously alert and cautious in their dealings with the demand of the customers that we service.

Role overview

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the processing of death, withdrawal, Retirals, Liquidation and In-Service claims in terms of the Pension Funds Act and the Rules of the Fund.

To process, assess, and finalise pension fund claims efficiently and accurately, ensuring that all regulatory, legal, and company requirements are met. To provide excellent service to members, employers, and other stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience during the claims process.

Delivers on daily production standards and adheres to service and quality standards.Detail focussed, thorough, analytical and diligent.Technical-legal knowledge and understanding of Section 37C of the Pension Funds Act and general knowledge of the common law, and other legislation- Administration of Deceased Estates Act, Intestate Succession, Divorce Act etc.).Sound judgement and decision-making skills.Excellent daily planning and time management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to withstand significant work pressure.Ensure all information sent in for the withdrawal, retirement and surplus claims have been taken into account and verified on the appropriate systems.Ensure all EMS queries received are responded to within 48 hoursAll claims are processed with the sole purpose of ensuring the benefit is paid timeously without delay

Additional Key Responsibilities

Assess, verify, and process different types of pension fund claims (e.g., withdrawal, retirement, death, disability, divorce, transfers, maintenance orders).

• Check claim documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with fund rules and    legislative requirements.

• Liaise with employers, members, and third parties for outstanding or supporting information.

• Communicate claim status and outcomes to members and stakeholders clearly and professionally.

• Respond promptly to queries via email, telephone, and other channels.

• Provide guidance on claim requirements and processes.

• Ensure all claims are finalised within agreed turnaround times and service level agreements (SLAs).

• Maintain strict confidentiality of member information and handle data according to regulatory standards.

• Identify and escalate any potential risks, irregularities, or fraud.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on systems and trackers.

• Contribute to daily, weekly, or monthly reporting on claims volumes and turnaround times.

• Support internal audits and quality assurance processes.

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure workload is managed effectively.

• Share knowledge and assist in training new team members when required.

• Contribute to process improvements and suggest ideas to enhance service delivery

To process, assess, and finalise pension fund claims efficiently and accurately, ensuring that all regulatory, legal, and company requirements are met. To provide excellent service to members, employers, and other stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience during the claims process.

Performs routine administrative duties such as drafting correspondences, scheduling appointments, organising and maintaining data, as well as assisting internal and external stakeholders

ResponsibilitiesAdministration

Produce, update, and provide best practice support on a wide range of Microsoft documents, databases, and other departmental systems.

Business Meetings/Events Arrangement

Schedule appointments, make arrangements for meetings and conferences, and organize travel plans, following instructions to ensure more senior colleagues or a senior executive make the best use of their time.

Correspondence

Prepare routine letters, email, minutes of meetings, and reports for approval by more senior colleagues or a senior executive.

Document Preparation

Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.

Work Scheduling and Allocation

Design own monthly schedule and, if necessary, assign work to others in order to speed up office workflow and ensure high-priority tasks get done.

Data Collection and Analysis

Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.

Insights and Reporting

Extract and combine data to generate standard reports.

Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
