Hiring: Claims Processor Tentative Start Date: September 8 Work Type: Contract to Hire| Fully on-site for the first 3 to 6 months (Hybrid option available later based on performance) Work Location: Troy, Michigan, 48098, United States Pay Rate: $16 per hour Work Schedule •Training Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (first 3–4 weeks) Attendance is mandatory during Training. •Regular Hours: Same as training, with some flexibility (±1 hour) About the Role As a Claims Processor, you’ll assist homeowners with insurance claims related to property damage (e.g., fire, flood, storm). You’ll help manage the claim process from start to finish, including releasing funds for repairs and coordinating with restoration companies. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role that requires empathy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities · Accept incoming phone calls (approx. 25+ calls per day) · Make outbound phone calls to follow up on claims · Monitor and respond to incoming emails · Monitor and respond to incoming voicemails · Understand and apply business rule requirements · Understand and apply investor requirements · Document claim activity in the loss draft module · Order inspections for claims · Request disbursements for ongoing claims Must-Have Qualifications •High School Diploma or GED •1+ year of office experience in customer service, admin, data entry, or production •Excellent verbal and written communication •Strong problem-solving and analytical skills •Tech-savvy: Able to use multiple monitors and programs •Typing speed of at least 35 WPM •Reliable attendance – must be present every day during training •Active internet connection at home (for future hybrid eligibility) Nice-to-Have Skills •Basic to intermediate Excel skills •Experience in insurance, mortgage, or homeowner claims Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
