Our client, a large insurance firm, is currently seeking a claims payments administrator to join their team in downtown Calgary! This role is best suited for someone with 6+ months of claims administration experience. Job Details Reporting to the Sr. Accountant and Controller, this role solely focuses on the claims payment function for our clients. The claims team will adjudicate the claim, then you will be responsible for taking the claims, take file and load it to accounting software (customized built by the company). Afterwards you will prepare cheques by physically printing them (1 day turnaround on this is the standard timeline). This role is very admin heavy (also going through return mail, mistakes, then they have to go back to claims team to fix errors) and bank part is only manual. This role is a foot in the door for people that want to go into accounting and is a great entry level opportunity. Qualifications - Minimum 6 months of claims administration experience (can be from any sector) - Eligibility for Protect B Clearance - PR Holder or Canadian citizens - In office requirements (3x/week) - Min High School Diploma Employee Value Proposition (EVP) Opportunity for FT after contract Work Environment: First 2-3 weeks of training is fully in office 8:30-4:30pm MST Then its min 3x week in office and 2 work from home: Can work anytime between 7am - 4:30pm, but no later start than 8:30am MST.
