By partnering with dealerships, we provide financing, personalized service and professional expertise to thousands of dealers and millions of customers in over one hundred countries around the world. **In this position...** + This is a Claims Examiner for AMRO Services who perform work on behalf of The American Road Insurance Company (TARIC) and various other internal FMC entities. + The American Road Claims Center (ARCC) is responsible for processing claims for The American Road Insurance Company (TARIC), Ford Motor Remarketing and Ford Motor Damaged Vehicles Office (DVO). + The Claims Examiner position is involved in processing claims for in-transit claims, wholesale losses, fleet losses, glass repair, subrogation with outside insurance companies and handling salvage disposal. **What you'll do...** + Maintain/Follow-up on assigned claims to ensure prompt payment and closure. + Work with outside vendor to verify coverage on glass only claims and ensure repairs are scheduled/completed timely. + Ensure payments received are handled properly and posted timely. This includes physical checks received via regular mail and electronic fund transfers from Vehicle Remarketing. + Process payments for losses and expenses on claims. + Verify coverage of damaged vehicles. + Follow-up for final repair orders and other supporting items with repair facilities. + Work with Field staff (Field Service Manage, Regional Claims Manager) when needed to process/close claims. + Follow-up with third party insurance companies to collect reimbursement of losses when applicable. + Take incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries. + Ensure timely disposal of vehicles (salvage/scrap) by working with Vehicle Remarketing/Auctions and completing all necessary processes to ready vehicles for sale. **You'll have...** + Insurance Claims processing experience highly valued. + Ability to read damaged estimate to determine disposal damage when applying for title through Michigan DMV. + Self-starter; ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. + Strong drive for results, commitment to quality and attention to detail. + Strong oral and written communications (able to effectively assert point of view). + Negotiation skills. + Collection/Customer Service experience.
