Claims Customer Service Representative
Description Position: Customer Claims Specialist – Loss Drafts Call Center We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Loss Drafts Call Center as Customer Claims Specialists. This role is pivotal in supporting homeowners navigating insurance-related repair claims, often during challenging periods. It requires empathy, critical thinking, and resilience in a high-call-volume environment. Key Responsibilities + Manage approximately 40–50 inbound calls per day concerning existing homeowner insurance claims + Serve as an intermediary between homeowners, lenders, and third-party representatives + Utilize multiple software systems to research and resolve client concerns + Document case activity and provide accurate, timely updates to all stakeholders + De-escalate challenging interactions and deliver high-quality service under pressure + Initiate outbound communications as necessary to resolve issues Training & Work Schedule + Training Period: July 23 to August 22 (Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, on-site) + Nesting Period: August 25 to September 5 (on-site, live call support) + Post-Training Shifts: Assigned based on business requirements; potential start times range between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM + Hybrid Schedule Eligibilitys: Upon completion of 30 days handling live calls, beginning October, contingent on performance, attendance, and adherence to quality standards Compensation + English-speaking representatives: $18.00 per hour + Bilingual (English-Spanish) representatives: $19.50 per hour Minimum Qualifications + 1–2 years of experience in a call center environment, preferably handling escalated concerns or insurance-related inquiries + Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems; ability to learn and operate multiple platforms concurrently + Typing proficiency of at least 35 words per minute + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Personal mobile device with active service (required for authentication protocols) + Reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications + Experience in insurance, mortgage servicing, or claims management + Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare clients or experience supporting complex, high-empathy customer needs Candidate Profile + Demonstrates composure and professionalism in high-stress situations + Exhibits strong problem-solving aptitude and conflict resolution capabilities + Maintains a consistent and reliable work history without frequent short-term employment transitions This is an excellent opportunity to contribute meaningfully while developing valuable customer service and industry-specific skills.
