The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a junior to mid-level engineer to provide special projects engineering support to the Self Defense Systems Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, located at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. As an integral part of our highly knowledgeable and experienced team, you will be supporting a vital role of our customers to ensure Navy fleet gun weapon systems capability, supportability, and readiness.

Responsibilities:

Provide engineering support on multiple specials projects to the U.S. Navy for all variants of the CIWS (Close-In Weapon System), including Phalanx, SeaRAM, and LPWS (Land-based Phalanx Weapon System).Will serve as a point of contact for engineering activities that are denoted as special projects by the Self Defense Division Director and Program Executive Office.Will provide oversight and ensure all systems engineering functions are being completed to support the projects and will coordinate with the Self Defense Division Director regarding support required to ensure project success.Planning and prioritizing work assignments and successfully executing all tasking to support in-service products.Forming and maintaining working relationships with multiple program stakeholders.Overseeing projects from inception to completion and using resources available to ensure customer needs are met

​Qualifications:

Required: 

U.S. CitizenshipAbility to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.Ability to utilize engineering techniques, requirements, methods, resources, and procedures in specialty areas and as they apply to electro-mechanical systems, radar technologies, software quality assurance, and system test and evaluation (T&E).Knowledge of analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving techniques necessary to perform professional engineering work.Ability to gather data from numerous sources and analyze and consolidate into required formats including excel and PDF.Ability to apply standard engineering practices, methods, and techniques to data analysis and problem solving.Ability to develop detailed analyses of engineering projects and recommend process improvement initiatives.Ability to participate and assist in planning and coordination of individual and team assignments to meet project goals.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Physical Requirements:

The work is performed in an office/test lab setting and occasionally in shipyards and shipboard, and will require standing, bending, lifting, walking and climbing.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$79,400 - $162,700
