Civil & Structural Field Engineer - German Speaking
**Job Overview:** The Civil & Structural Field Engineer applies their knowledge of civil and strucutral, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward civil & structural problems at the construction site in Buttel, Germany. Will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Civil & Structural Field Engineer understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents. **Key Tasks and Responsibilities:** + Provide technical support to Construction on site. + Work with the site civil superintendent to follow the progress of the works. + Interact with Home Office and Convis, and ensure timely civil and structural engineering IFC/AFC deliverables. + Review the Level 3 schedule in advance to be ready with the necessary information to maintain the work progress. + Support the Quality Field Manager to identify the requirement from engineering in the ITP (Inspection Test Plan). + Review, evaluate and approve/reject any intended changes and modifications by Matthäi (civil subcontractor), interact with Home Office when needed. + Provide adequate response to RFI (Request For Information) queries from Matthäi, interact with Home Office when needed. + Prepare the TQY to Client requesting the approval of deviations, if any. + Reporting to the Field Engineering Manager. + Apply knowledge and skills to complete varied assignments. + Prioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines. + Perform design verification. + Prepare & review MTOs of foundations and structures. + Provide engineering support as required. Reports to: Project: Lead Field Engineer Liaise With: All design and drafting disciplines, all Engineering Disciplines, Construction Site Fabrication Groups, and Document Control **Essential Qualifications and Education:** + Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering in Germany. + Three-eight (5-8) years of experience. + Fluent in German language + Eager to learn. + Working knowledge of English, both oral and written, B2/C1 grade. + HSE, TQM, and cost-conscious. + Familiar with the use of codes and standards. + Familiar with the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicable. Knowledge of many basic design techniques and analysis methods. + Microsoft office experience. + AutoCAD experience. \#LI-RH1 Our ingenuity fuels daily life.
