The Opportunity
UGL Utilities team are currently looking for an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join the team in Perth. This role requires DIDO to the project site at Three Springs.
Some key responsibilities of this role will include:
· Develop and implement detailed project plans, work schedules, and methodologies for civil works, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets and scope.
· Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts; provide engineering input to ensure compliance with industry standards, UGL requirements, and client expectations.
· Oversee on-site civil construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the requires quality standards; manage subcontractor performance and resolve site issues as they arise.
· Promote and enforce UGL’s HSE policies and procedures across all civil project activities; ensure risk assessments and safety measures are effectively implemented.
· Liase with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to provide regular updates. Manage expectations, and address engineering or construction challenges; prepare and deliver progress reports and technical documentation.
About you
· Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia (or equivalent).
· Proven experience delivering civil engineering works in infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects – ideally within a multi-disciplinary or contractor environment.
· Strong understanding of civil design principles, construction methodologies, and relevant Australian standards, with the ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation.
· Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, with experience implementing and maintaining compliance on project sites.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with internal teams, client and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.
