System One is currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer on a 12 month contract position located in Earth, TX.
Civil Engineer Responsibilities: Oversee and contribute to large-scale wind projects. Responsible for providing civil expertise, with a focus on evaluating project drawings and handling requests for information (RFIs) across multiple projects, Will focus on collaborating with other engineers and project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are clearly outlined. Evaluate drawings, studies, and analyses. Review the technical documentation to confirm that everything aligns with the project specifications and requirements. Variances to the company's master specifications will need to be communicated internally for approvals by the engineer. For construction activities, the day will be more in-person, assisting team members by addressing any civil engineering-related questions they may have about the project. This could include clarifying details about the design or construction process and troubleshooting any issues that arise on-site. Overall responsibilities will vary from planning/reviewing to providing direct support during the construction. Work with our other engineers on the project to be able to understand/interpret design drawings and managing the compliance of the construction to the design drawings and managing RFI requests.
Civil Engineer Requirements: Familiarity with ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Procore preferred. SAP a plus. 9+ years of civil engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design). Bachelors degree for an ABET accredited school or strong/commensurate experience. Knowledge of/familiarity with NCRs, RFIs and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.
