Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Civil Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of civil infrastructure projects throughout the construction process.

Conduct routine inspections of civil infrastructure projects, identifying defects and potential hazardsDocument contract compliance and produce detailed inspection reportsReview contract requirements, submittals, shop drawings, and other associated documentationCoordinate with contractors to verify upcoming work against issued schedulesMonitor contractors' adherence to schedules and provide input on payment requestsInspect work for conformance with contract documents, approved change orders, and clarificationsTrack and verify contractor time, material, and force account workObserve and approve contractors' testing and QA/QC activitiesMaintain necessary project documentation, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports and logsProvide input for construction changes and assist with the preparation of field orders and change ordersObserve the implementation of health and safety procedures and practicesCoordinate contractor work activities with a focus on civil and structural itemsVerify that delivered materials and equipment meet approved specificationsWitness and verify the acceptability of all field testingTrack quantities installed on a daily basisPrepare time and material reports as appropriateVerify contractor maintenance of as-built drawings

QualificationsHigh School diploma (minimum); Engineering degree preferred15 years of experience in construction inspector roles for heavy site civil infrastructure projectsNICET CertificationACI CertificationConcrete Field-Testing Technician Grade II certificationOSHA 10-hour Construction Health and Safety Course (OSHA 30-hour preferred)Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipmentIn-depth knowledge of civil infrastructure construction and local building codes in Saudi ArabiaStrong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsExcellent documentation and report writing skillsAnalytical mindset with keen attention to detailStrong communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)Ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentProficiency in relevant computer applications and project management softwareWillingness to work on-site and in various weather conditionsValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
