We are currently partnering with a leading engineering firm to find a skilled Civil Construction Inspector for an exciting infrastructure project in Red Hook, Brooklyn. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in site/civil construction who are passionate about quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities + Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with building codes and project specifications. + Review construction plans to identify potential code violations or discrepancies. + Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet required standards. + Perform material testing to assess quality and suitability. + Maintain detailed inspection records and report any issues or non-conformities. Required Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management. + At least 4 years of experience in civil/site construction inspection. + OSHA 30-hour safety certification. + Proven experience with sewer, watermain, and road reconstruction projects. + Familiarity with projects involving public agencies such as DDC, DOT, MTA, or DEP. Preferred Skills + Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and procedures. + Ability to support project scheduling and coordination efforts.
