Job Description
The Civil Engineer will collaborate with a team of engineers to support the design and development of a variety of projects, including commercial, retail, and residential developments. This role involves planning, designing, and managing civil engineering projects such as site development, utilities, and drainage calculations. The ideal candidate will utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce detailed engineering drawings, conduct site visits and inspections, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects.Develop site plans, including grading, drainage, zoning, and utilities.Demonstrate ability to take ownership of projects and drive them independently from concept to completion.Maintain a strong understanding of budget and deadline management.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in civil site planning projects, including drainage and design.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for producing detailed engineering drawings.Ability to run projects independently.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in commercial and industrial projects.EIT or PE License is a plus.Work Environment
The position involves working an average of 40 hours per week, with approximately 75% office-based and 25% field-based duties. Project sites are primarily local to West Michigan, with occasional assignments in other areas of Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
